1. Reset Galaxy Buds

In most cases, minor glitches and bugs are the main reason for the problem.

Therefore to remove glitches, reset your Galaxy Buds. 

Resetting removes bugs and also increases your bud’s performance.

Follow the below steps to reset your Galaxy Buds with the wearable app.

  1. Place both buds in the charging case and leave its lid open.
  2. Open the Galaxy wearable app on your Android or iOS device.
  3. Scroll down and tap About Earbuds.
  4. Tap the Reset option and confirm.

Here is how to reset Galaxy Buds with the touch controls.

  1. Remove buds from the charging case.
  2. Touch both buds sensors for more than 10 seconds or until you hear a chime.
  3. Put both buds back in the charging case and wait for 30 seconds.

Now connect them with your device and check if the sound problem is fixed or not.

2. Update Firmware

If your Galaxy Buds firmware is not updated, then first update it.

Because outdated firmware creates glitches in the buds, and as a result, their sound doesn’t come out. 

Follow the below steps to update your Galaxy Buds firmware.

  • Download and install the Galaxy wearable app.
  • When a new update is available, the app will notify you.
  • So, open the app and tap the notification tab. If the update is available, then download it and follow the on-screen instructions to complete it.

  • First, fully charge earbuds and their charging case.
  • Place earbuds in the case and leave its lid open.

Then follow specific steps depending upon your Galaxy Buds model.

  • Galaxy Buds live and Buds plus:
  • Tap the buds software update, then tap download and install it.
  • Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds 2, and Buds 2 Pro:
  • Tap buds settings, tap buds software update, and tap download and install it.
  • Galaxy Buds:
  • Tap about the buds, tap buds software update, then tap download and install it.

3. Uninstall or Clear Cache (Wearable App)

Maybe the Galaxy wearable app is causing the issue; therefore, uninstall it. And check if the problem is solved. 

If not, install the wearable app again and clear its cache; maybe it is responsible for the sound problem in Galaxy Buds.

Follow the below steps to clear your Galaxy wearable app cache.

  1. Go to the settings of your device.
  2. Then tap storage.
  3. From the list of apps, select the Galaxy Wearable app.
  4. On the wearable app info page, tap the clear cache option.

4. Reboot Your Phone

Maybe your Galaxy Buds are working properly, but something is wrong with your device. 

Therefore to confirm this connect your buds with another device. 

If they are working with the new device, your primary device has glitches. Therefore you should reboot your primary device to fix the problem.

  1. Hold down the power button for 1 to 2 seconds or until the power menu appears.
  2. Then release the button and tap restart.
  3. Your phone will turn off and on again.

  1. Hold down the side button until the power slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider and wait for 30 seconds; your iPhone will turn off.
  3. Hold the side button to turn it on again until you see the Apple logo.

5. Reset Network Settings

Maybe you have paired multiple earbuds with your phone, and the data of all paired devices automatically save to your phone.

So, maybe one of the old devices is interfering; that’s why sound is not coming from Galaxy Buds. Therefore to fix this problem, you should reset your phone network settings.

Resetting the network will remove all paired device’s data, internet and local network. 

Follow the below step to reset your Android phone network settings.

  1. Go to your phone Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap either System or General management, depending upon the device.
  3. Tap the reset option.
