Galaxy Buds Keep Pausing (Solved)

If your Galaxy Earbuds keep pausing, don’t worry; this problem can be solved with a few simple steps.

Maybe they are pausing because of glitches, outdated firmware, auto pause feature, low battery, or your mobile is in sleep mode and connected with multiple devices.

Let’s take a closer look at all of these possible reasons and how to fix them.

How to Fix Galaxy Buds Keep Pausing

 Galaxy Buds Keep Pausing

These are the reasons why your Galaxy Buds music keeps pausing.

1. Galaxy Buds

In most cases, software glitches and bugs are responsible for the problem.

Therefore to remove them, you need to reset your Galaxy Buds.

Because resetting will eradicate glitches and increase your bud’s performance.

Follow the below steps to reset your Galaxy Buds.

  1. Download and install the Galaxy wearable app.
  2. Open the Galaxy wearable app.
  3. Then tap the general.
  4. Tap reset and confirm.

If the soft reset does not fix the problem, hard reset your Galaxy Buds.

Here is how you can do that.

  1. Remove both buds out of the case.
  2. Tap and hold both buds sensors for 10 seconds.
  3. Then place the buds back in the case and wait for 30 to 60 seconds.

2. Update Firmware

Outdated firmware can also be the cause.

Because the latest firmware removes minor glitches and keeps the bud’s performance up.

Therefore you should update your Galaxy Buds firmware.

Follow the below steps to update your Galaxy Buds firmware.

  • Download and install the Galaxy wearable app.
  • When a new update will be available, the app will notify you.
  • So, open the app and tap the notification tab. If the update is available, then download it and follow the on-screen instructions to complete it.

However, if you want to manually update, here is the complete guide.

  • First, fully charge earbuds and their charging case.
  • Place earbuds in the case and leave its lid open.

Then follow specific steps depending upon your Galaxy Buds model.

  • Galaxy Buds live and Buds plus:
  • Tap the buds software update, then tap download and install it.
  • Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds 2, and Buds 2 Pro:
  • Tap buds settings, tap buds software update, and tap download and install it.
  • Galaxy Buds:
  • Tap about the buds, tap buds software update, then tap download and install it.

3. Auto Pause

Galaxy Buds have in-ear detection, which means when you take buds out of the ears, earbuds will automatically pause the music, and when you again put them in, they will resume the music.

When you run with them, earbuds become slippery due to sweat, ears push them out due to which buds suppose you are taking them out of the ear, and they pause the music.

To fix this problem, push them into your ears.

However, doing this, again and again, is really frustrating.

So, to permanently fix the problem, clean your ears, use foam ear tips, and use earwings to keep buds in your ears.

4. Disconnect Other Devices

Your Galaxy Buds or phone connection with multiple devices can create sound issues. Maybe your phone is connected to multiple devices, and they are interfering. That’s why your buds keep pausing.

Therefore disconnect all devices from your phone. Also, if your Galaxy Buds are connected to multiple devices, their sound can start pausing.

Therefore also make sure your buds are connected with one device. Hopefully, after this, your buds will not pause.

5. Low Battery

Galaxy Buds are wireless earbuds that are operated by a battery. When their battery is low, they pause, cut out, or turn off. Maybe your earbud’s battery is low, so they keep pausing.

Therefore you should fully charge them to fix the problem. Typically galaxy buds take one hour to fully charge from a dead battery.

6. Bluetooth Range

Galaxy Buds are wireless earbuds that have a 30 feet Bluetooth range. The sound will pause or cut out if the distance between your Galaxy Buds and your device is more than that.

Therefore always keep your buds near your device.

Also, their sound can pause if you are in a crowded place or using buds near wifi or microwaves. Because they have the same frequency signals, which interfere with buds signals.

Therefore use your Galaxy Buds away from these devices to avoid issues.

7. Mobile Go into Sleep Mode

Maybe your Galaxy Buds are working properly, but your mobile phone goes into sleep mode; that’s why the earbuds keep pausing.

Maybe the app through which you are playing music is in sleeping apps.

Sleeping apps mean they will not work when the phone enters sleep mode.

Therefore if you want to fix the music pause issue, remove music apps from sleeping apps.

Follow the below steps to do that.

  1. Go to the settings of your mobile phone.
  2. Then go to device care and battery.
  3. Tap more and go to settings.
  4. Tap sleeping apps.
  5. Then remove music apps from the list.
